Overview
MakiManhwa is designed for guest reading and does not require ordinary visitors to create an account. We do not build invasive reader profiles or sell personal data to third parties. Technical logs and browser-side storage are used for site operation, security, reader preferences, and performance.
Information That May Be Processed
Server logs: normal requests may generate technical records such as IP addresses, user-agent information, operating system details, referring URLs, and timestamps. These records can help diagnose problems and protect the infrastructure from abusive traffic, automated attacks, or excessive load.
Local reading history: when you open chapters, recent reading information may be stored locally in your browser so the site can help you continue where you stopped. This data remains on your device and can be removed through your browser controls.
Administrative cookies: restricted areas under /admin may use security cookies for administrator authentication. These are not ordinary reader login cookies.
Reader preferences: settings such as the selected reader layout or light/dark theme may be kept in local storage so they persist between visits.
Information We Do Not Request for Normal Reading
- Your name, email address, or phone number is not required to read ordinary site content.
- The platform does not request credit-card information for standard free reading access.
- We do not create reader profiles for targeted commercial email campaigns.
- The chapter reader is not intended to require invasive tracking scripts for basic viewing.
Hosting, CDN, and External Services
MakiManhwa may rely on hosting infrastructure, object storage, and CDN providers to deliver pages and images efficiently. These services can process technical routing information as part of normal web delivery and security. Font resources may also be requested from Google Fonts when a suitable local font is unavailable.
Retention
Technical server logs are intended to be retained only for operational and security purposes and rotated according to the site's infrastructure practices. MakiManhwa does not intentionally maintain a permanent profile of casual reading activity.
